Building Construction Program Manager 1
o Assist in managing and coordinating medium and large scale site construction projects for client agencies. o Manage simple site construction projects for small client agencies. o Ensure the assigned program responsibilities or assigned projects meet client requirements and are completed within time limitations and funding allocations determined by the client and Division of the Budget. o Perform other duties as assigned. o Some travel is required.

From $61270 to $77912 Annually
Minimum Qualification
CURRENT STATE EMPLOYEES:
Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service as an Engineer Trainee and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. GENERAL PUBLIC CANDIDATES:
Provisional Pending Examination OR 55b/c Candidates:
Six years of experience in multi-trade building construction that must include at least one year of managing multiple building construction projects. Experience managing multi-trade building construction projects shall include responsibility for three or more of the following areas:
construction planning, coordination of multiple trades, cost estimating, project scheduling, material purchasing, resource management (including labor, material, and equipment scheduling), and construction document reading and interpretation (e.g. plans and specifications). Substitution:
an associate's degree in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering technology, construction technology, building science, or architectural technology may substitute for two years of the general experience. A bachelor's degree in the above fields may substitute for four years of the general experience. Non-Qualifying
Experience:
Experience building roads and bridges. Candidates who meet the above minimum qualification AND have 55b/c eligibility are encouraged to apply. If applying using your 55b/c status, you must provide a copy of your current 55b/c eligibility letter.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
